Farming with Nature Sprint Day
Nature-inclusive agriculture offers promising ways to restore biodiversity, but it also comes with challenges, especially when it comes to labour. How can we make farming work better for both people and nature through creative thinking, social innovation, and new technologies?
During this Sprint Day, you'll team up with fellow students to tackle real-world challenges and develop innovative solutions, guided by experts from ReGeNL and the LVVN Innovation Programme Robots naar de Boerenpraktijk. From rethinking how agricultural work is organised to exploring automation and robotics, there's plenty of room for creativity!
Joining the ReWild the Future Challenge but still looking for an idea? This Sprint Day is the perfect opportunity to get inspired, explore possibilities, and develop your first ideas together with your team.
At the end of the day, the three teams with the best ideas will each win a treat box!
We'll finish with drinks and inspiring real-world cases presented by Challenge partners, giving you even more ideas and opportunities to explore.

Curious about the ReWild the Future Challenge?
Are you thinking about joining the ReWild the Future Challenge, but wondering how it actually works? Join this info event to get a clearer picture of what participation looks like, what you will work on, and how the Challenge will guide you from a first idea to a final pitch.
During the session, we will walk you through the practical side of the Challenge: the timeline, key milestones, assignments, team formation, coaching, study load and what kind of support you can expect along the way. You will also hear from previous Challenge participants, who will share what it was like to take part and what they gained from the experience.
You do not need to have a team or a fully developed idea yet. This event is a chance to explore whether the Challenge fits your interests, ask your questions, and discover how you could contribute with your own background, skills and perspective.
Join us and find out how your ideas could become part of the ReWild the Future Challenge.

Reimagining Rural Biodiversity: Get Inspired for the ReWild the Future Challenge
13 October, 17.30-19.00, Impulse
How can we help biodiversity thrive in rural landscapes? What does the future of biodiversity in rural landscapes look like — and what role could you play in shaping it?
Join this inspiration event for the ReWild the Future Challenge and dive into three powerful ways to rethink the future of rural areas: understanding biodiversity through monitoring, working with biodiversity through nature-inclusive agriculture, and restoring biodiversity through rewilding.
Through three short expert talks, you will get a glimpse of the latest developments, urgent questions and surprising opportunities in these fields. How do we know whether biodiversity is really improving? Can agriculture become part of the solution instead of part of the problem? What does it mean to give nature more space — and how far can we go?
This event is about getting inspired, discovering where innovation is needed, meeting other curious students, and finding out whether the ReWild the Future Challenge is something for you.
Come with your questions, your curiosity, and your perspective. You might leave with the beginning of an idea — or the beginning of a team
With presentations from:
Angus Smith, Forest and Nature Conservation Policy, Wageningen University (Rewilding)
Lotte van Dueren den Hollander, BO-Akkerbouw (Nature-inclusive agriculture)
